Improving quality of life of patients receiving treatment for head and neck cancers has been the focus of attention in head and neck oncology in recent years.
Apart from the developments in surgical instrumentation and better delivery of radiation therapy providing the best in reconstruction after cancer ablation has contributed to the better functional outcome of the treatment and improvement in quality of life.
Reconstruction of maxilla and mandible is one of the most challenging aspects in head and neck cancer rehabilitation. This has become more robust by the widespread use of micro vascular free bone flaps.
The present workshop aims at principlizing the current concepts in maxilla mandibular reconstruction as well as look at the recent developments including dental rehabilitation and virtual surgical planning.
