Dear Colleagues,

The Department of Surgery, MOSC Medical College, Kolenchery & the School of Nursing, are proud and honoured to have the privilege of hosting and organising the Annual National CME and Workshop of the Indian Association of Traumatology & Critical Care (IATCC) – ‘National Trauma Conclave 2020’ between July 9-11, 2020, on the occasion of Golden Jubilee Celebration of Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church Medical Mission.

On behalf of IATCC and the Organising Committee; it is my honour and pleasure to extend a warm invitation for you to this conclave. Trauma, is a leading cause of disability and death globally. National Trauma Conclave 2020 – CME on July 10-11, 2020, seeks to showcase all that is relevant, contemporary and promising in the field of Trauma care through our eminent panel of faculty, research paper & poster presentations and a great opportunity to interact with experts and colleagues who share your passion in improving outcomes in Trauma care.

The pre-CME workshop on July 9, 2020, will help trainees & young trauma care professionals to acquire skills vital to effective assessment and care of trauma victims.

The Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church Medical Mission Hospital, Kolenchery was founded in 1970 under able leadership of the Late Shri Chacko Pillai to bring quality, affordable care to the people of this region. It grew, to become a Medical College in 2002. In its 50 golden years of service, MOSC Hospital has provided vital service in Trauma care in the region. MOSC Medical College Hospital is honoured to be hosting ‘National Trauma Conclave 2020’ in its GOLDEN JUBILEE YEAR.

Kolenchery, is a rustic village, replete with old-world charm, cradled between the bustling city of Cochin-the Queen of the Arabian Sea; and the Western Ghats, en route the famous hill station of Munnar. It provides good access by road to many tourist attractions of Kerala, such as Fort Kochi with its heritage Dutch Palace, Ancient Synagogue and the iconic Chinese Fishing nets; the backwaters of Kumarakom and Alappuzha- also called the Venice of the east, the mighty Periyar river and the Athirampilly and Vazhachal water falls.

We look forward to welcoming you to savour the academic feast and soak in the wonders of Cochin & Kerala quite rightly called ‘God’s own Country’

 Dr Vergis Paul
