With the XXVIII National Conference of the Indian Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathologists all set to be hosted at Kovalam, Thiruvananthapuram from 1st – 3rd November 2019, the stage is set for a mixture of Academic and Cultural bonanza, which awaits our esteemed Guests. Alongside the rich local culture and heritage of Kerala, an enriched Scientific and Academic experience is also on the anvil at the abode of Lord Anantha Padmanabha (Vishnu). We the Scientific Team of IAOMP 2019, promise a blend of academically enriching scientific sessions seasoned with the local flavours of God’s own country, which would gift our Esteemed Guests many wonderful moments to last a lifetime....
Conferences, all the world over, are occasions for the members of a fraternity to get together, socialize, exchange scientific knowledge and ideas and above all act as stress-breakers which take the members through the local flavours and heritage of the place. With rapid advancements happening every moment in the field of Oral Pathology & Microbiology, these conferences are ideal to keep abreast of such developments and to brainstorm on future plans and strategies for the betterment of the generation next. Rightly, the theme of this Conference has been chosen as “INDIA CANCER”, making this a Summit on Oral Cancer, keeping in view the increasing trend in the incidence of Oral Cancer globally and more so in India.
The ‘India Can’ Torch, which was lit at the IAOMP Amritsar Conference in Nov 2018, will travel to different parts of India, spreading the message of awareness on Oral Cancer, before culminating its journey when it would finally light up the venue of IAOMP 2019 at Thiruvananthapuram. The scientific sessions would be adherent to our theme, with the focus on creating awareness about all aspects of Oral Cancer, right from the basics to the latest in diagnosis and treatment.
